We all need things to be accessible. If you haven’t yet experienced a barrier due to a temporary or situational ‘disability’, lucky you. But it’s almost a given that you will experience one or more accessibility barriers in your lifetime. Why not, while you have the chance to do something about it, help future you experience less frustration and make the stuff you’re producing accessible now. You, as someone making products, services or information accessible, have a tough job. And it’s not about making the things accessible; it’s getting the people in charge to give a damn about accessibility. To not deprioritise accessibility because they don’t understand why they need to do it. This is intended to be a thought piece. I’m not looking at solutions, but rather I’m trying to open minds to the importance of accessibility and how it affects more people than you think. Including you!
